Dan Fogelberg - Same Auld Lang Syne

Another year has come and gone and this song is begging to be played. It's hard to believe that a year has passed since Dan Fogelberg died. I remember how bummed I was that week and yet it helped me to process some things about the past. Dan's music was a soundtrack to a part of my life that seems farther away with every passing year. I guess that's why this song still works... RR

Midnight in the Desert - Crystal Gale

Here's 'Midnight in the Desert' as released on Crystal's single. She actually wrote this song for Art Bell in honor of his Coast To Coast radio show. I like the Native Flute and if you listen closely you can hear Native singing in the background. Great job! RR

Crystal Gayle - Midnight in the Desert - When I Dream

Here's Crystal performing 'When I Dream" live. Just beautiful! This video also includes here performance of 'Midnight in the Desert' which incorporates Native Flute! A great double feature! I am a huge Crystal Gale fan! RR

Crystal Gayle - When I Dream (1978)

This song holds so many memories for me. It came out while I was in college and dating a young girl from the Midwest. She played it on her stereo for me and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. It became "our song". Funny how a song played 30 years later can bring back a flood of memories. Music can be like that. Thanks Crystal! RR

BACH Chaconne orchestre cordes BWV1004

Those of you who follow my blog know that I am in total awe of this piece by Bach. Here it is in a rare orchestral performance. I can never listen to or study this piece enough. It heals me like no other piece of music ever has. I can't explain it...I can only love it! RR
